Een update van activiteiten ondernomen het afgelopen jaar door het gezondheids team. Life uit het eind rapport, in het Engels dus, een verslag....
Health Department, Activities carried out;
1.Medical care, total adult patients 2,400 people. 2.Medical care, total children patients 1,080. 3.Laboratory investigation about 2,076, malaria 1,404 + 672. HIV/AIDS out of 228, 96 positive, syphilis 408 cases tested and 240 + 4.Dental care 624 adults 5.Dental care 24 children. 6.Antenatal and post-natal, new antenatal 144, re visits 72, post natal 264. 7.Maternity care, 24 deliveries. 8.Immunization, BCG/opvp 264, Measles 348, DPT1+opvp 288, DPT2+opvp2 360,DPT3+opvp3 252 9.Out reaches, 5 times a week, all the zones, Home surrounding, Immunization, Health education, General cleaning by 3 community development workers. 10.Collecting cheques at KCC, Kampala City Counsil. 11.Writing Monthly reports, combining and writing half/year reports. 12.Combining stock cards. 13.Delivering of monthly reports and stock cards receipts to KCC. 14.Held a meeting with Rose from KCC, talked about our problems and the way forward. 15.We built two more patient rooms, thanks to the sponsership of Kidogo, in total we had four rooms, and they are always occupied which is a good sign. Delivering women have their separate room from sick patients now. 16.We provided the clinic with a fridge, thanks to the sponsership of Kidog, so water and medication can be kept cold. 17.Supplied the CDW/Out reach team with equipments, thanks to the sponsership of Kidogo, gumboots, umbrellas, two bicycles, notebooks, structural allowances from KCC (Kampala City Council). 18.Repair of the roof in the Dental Department, thanks to the sponsership of Kidogo. 19.Held a meeting with Suzan from the red cross to find ways how to work closer together; outcome, we will invite each other every 3 months to have meetings to support each others work. Problems:
1.Malaria still reported as the highest number. 2.HIV/AIDS also still reported as the highest number. 3.No enough admission beds and mattresses in the clinic. 4.Need of a TV for educative films. 5.Not enough funds for the allowances for the CDW’s. 6.Difficult to contact the Health Inspector and mobilize him to join the CDW’s critical places in Banda. 7.Very critical durty spots in several places in Banda, B7, B6, B9, B3, B1. 8.Lack of Latrines, dirty drainages, lack of garbage disposal pits. 9.Several latrines are broken. Way Forward; 1.We need to educate people how to prevent from Malaria. 2.We need to educate people how to prevent from HIV/AIDS 3.We need more admission beds and mattresses. 4.We need to write a proposal. 5.We need a TV and educative films. 6.More advances needed for the CDW’s. 7.Need to build more water kiosks. 8.Repair, with the community latrines or build new ones. 9.Find ways to talk to Rose how to reach the Heath Inspector. 10.Need of several equipments like X-ray machine, scanner etc in the clinic and for dental section. |
