Education department:

Activities carried out:

1. Daily cash collection from the Internet clients.

2. Hand over money collected to the treasurer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

3. Reinstallation of software, at present all computers are in use

4. All the computers were serviced on the last Sunday of the month.

5. Paid for the subscription.

6. No pop ups on our Internet services/ no publicity, makes speed of the Internet connection a bit faster.

7. Computer Training.

8. Troubleshooting and repairs are done.

9. Recording and issuing of Library books.

10. Scanning for viruses.

11. All installed with CD ROM and A drives.

12. The cable’s where everywhere in the Internet café often breakdowns are resolved now as we managed to protect our cables, cable tracking.

13. We made jackets to protect our computers during night for dust, thanks to the sponsership of Kidogo.

14. For other packages we resolved that it is not possible them now on our computers, as they not capable of running these packages.

15. For the computers training, we implemented rules and regulations for the student to prevent them from delaying. Students have to sign before they can start their course. An attendance book is kept, this stimulates the students to come on time and finish their training on time.

16. A questionnaire for the clients is implemented; they can react on the servers. It can give us new ideas, how to improve.

17. We have a new staff member, Geoffrey Sserunjogi Internet services and trainer in computer packages.

Problems;

1. Low speed of the Internet connection.

2. Frequent breakdown of monitors and computers.

3. Too much dust in the café.

4. Professional packages missing.

5. Difficulties with making certificates.

6. Frequent load shedding.

Way Forward;

1. Need to strengthen our savings to buy a generator.

2. We need to write a proposal to make sure we can buy a generator, together with out savings.

3. We need an anti virus soft ware CD.

4. We need a UPS for the server

5. We need to install more software training packages.

6. We need more computer games
